Welcome to the                               North Highland Forest Trust

We are an independent organisation giving free advice and assistance to groups, crofters and individuals involved in the development of community forestry and the management of community woodland within Caithness and Sutherland.

In this uncertain time of climate change, more community groups are making the decision to take an active role in the care, preservation and development of their woodlands.  The benefits to health, well-being, and the opportunity for greater sustainability and economic stability for our communities, are clearly demonstrated through local projects.
