Ranger-led Guided Walks

The Rangers in the North Highlands run a programme of over 250 guided walks and events throughout the year. Many of them explore the rich and varied woodland habitats in our area. There are a variety of walks designed to cater for all abilities, from short walks to a full day on the hills. And they are free, but donations welcome.

On the guided walks you will learn about the wildflowers, birds and animals of the area and maybe some of the local geology, archaeology and history.

The full programme “What’s On in Caithness and Sutherland 2008 is available shortly at most Tourist information Centres, Libraries and community venues - some woodland walks for 2008 are detailed belowFor full details of all guided walks download a copy of What's On in Caithness and Sutherland 2008 PDF 736KB
